WIDNES Vikings will face St Helens at the Stobart Stadium, Halton in the second Karalius Cup clash on Tuesday January 19 (7.30pm ko) after Sunday’s friendly with Blackpool was cancelled.
Tickets will not be on sale for the game but fans can pay on at the turnstiles on the night or use tickets from the cancelled World of Beds Cup game against Warrington.
Vikings’ CEO Alex Bonney said, “We are aware of the need for the team to get in match practice prior to the start of the Northern Rail Cup and although the weather will have a part to play in it, this game should be a good opener for the squad and I know the prospect of bringing the Karalius Cup back to Widnes is an attractive one.”
Widnes were beaten by St Helens in the fixture at Knowsley Road last pre-season.
The cup commemorates the life and career of Widnes and St Helens legend Vince Karalius, who died in 2008.
Admission to the Karalius Cup, sponsored by World of Beds, is £12 adults, £6 concessions.
