Vikings put 500 Club members in picture

WIDNES Vikings fans signing up for a four-year Widnes Vikings season ticket will live out their dream by lining up with the players at next season’s official club photocall.

Supporters joining the Vikings’ 500 Club will be invited to the official pre-season media call and take centre stage as the squad lines up for the 2009 team photograph, receiving a framed team picture as a memento.

Existing 500 Club members will be invited – as will others taking up the offer prior to the photocall.

Those who have already purchased season tickets for the 2009 season will also be eligible for this exclusive event if they upgrade their ticket to join the 500 Club.

Membership of the 500 Club gives fans a four-year season ticket for just £500 (£333 for concessions). This equates to £125 per season.

It represents a saving on 2009 season ticket prices as well the chance to save money on the following three years, including the 2012 season when Widnes hope to be competing in Super League.

Vikings’ chief executive Alex Bonney said: “We’re pleased with the number of fans who have already taken up this offer and look forward to welcoming them to the Stobart Stadium Halton for the media event in January.

“However, there is still time for fans to take advantage of these vastly-discounted four-year season tickets and with our aim for Super League in 2012 the savings could be even greater.”
