BLOCKBUSTING prop-forward Adel Fellous could be in line for a starting berth in McCormack’s 13 after the French international made a huge impact during the loss at Featherstone.
Boss Steve McCormack said: “Adel’s performance was one of the big positives that came out of the Featherstone Rovers game.
“He came off the bench and made a big impact and that’s what we brought him in for.
“He did well and hopefully that will continue.”
The 30-year-old forward, who arrived at the Stobart Stadium Halton last week to begin a month’s loan, has enjoyed a spell in Super League this season with Hull FC, as well as playing for Toulouse, Catalan Dragons and Pia.
A seasoned performer for his country, Fellous is a solid and reliable option in the pack and was the Vikings’ star man at the Chris Moyles Stadium on Sunday.
McCormack added: “Adel gives us size and mobility in the forwards as we enter a tough month in the Co-operative National League.
“He has a lot of experience and will help to strengthen the pack in the absence of Sam Barlow, Tommy Gallagher and Paul Noone.”
Widnes have also signed 16-year-old Tom Kelly from Wigan St Patrick’s after his man-of-the-match performance in the National U16s Cup Final.
