HALTON Council has moved to quash fears about the Halton Stadium after receiving calls from worried people.
The stadium has been contacted by organisers of wedding parties, conferences and suppliers asking if it is still trading.
Halton Borough Council's Cllr Phil Harris, who is responsible for sport and leisure, said: ‘The Council would like to reassure people that it is business as usual for Halton Stadium with all off-pitch activities carrying on as normal, despite the Widnes Vikings going into administration.’
The stadium is owned by the council after Widnes Vikings sold its 40% share in 1999.
