Shirt sponsors sign on for another year

HATTONS Solicitors hope to be sponsoring Vikings in Super League next season after extending their shirt sponsorship deal with Widnes for a further 12 months.

Hattons, from St Helens, have had their name on the reverse of the Vikings' playing shirts for the last two seasons and will now appear in 2008.

The company will also continue to sponsor the Club's World Class Scholarship Programme.

Mike Denning of Hattons said: 'We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with the Vikings and are happy to sign a new deal which we hope will take Widnes back to Super League where they belong.

'We would like to put on record our thanks to Pat Cluskey and all at Widnes Vikings who have truly been a partner in this deal over the last season.

'We hope that people in Halton and the surrounding areas will continue to support their team and encourage others to come to the Halton Stadium to watch the talent on show.'

Vikings' head coach Steve McCormack said: 'I'm really pleased that Hattons will be with us in 2008. They have been fantastic sponsors for the last two years and are always looking to work together with the club on other initiatives such as the ticketing promotion against

Rochdale in July, which resulted in our highest league crowd of the season.

'The fact they are also sponsoring the scholarship programme shows their commitment to the club and the young people of Halton and I look forward to continuing our work with them next season.'
