Michael Young of Runcorn Linnets is Vodkat League Premier Division player of the month for January

RUNCORN Linnets winger Michael Young has been named the Vodkat League’s Premier Division player of the month for January.

Young has made up for lost time with some outstanding performances after a frustrating December – his two-match suspension spanning the entire month as postponements decimated the club’s fixture list.

Young will be presented with his prize at a forthcoming game.

He has been with the club since the start, making his debut – and scoring one of the goals – as Linnets’ won their first ever match in August 2006 at Ashton Town.
