Ready for Monday kick-off

HALTON Sixes are ready to launch a Monday night league at The Heath School in Runcorn after the overwhelming success of the Wednesday and Sunday night leagues.

Rules are very similar to the 11-a-side game with the main differences being there is no offside and teams are allowed to use roll on/roll off substitutes.

Each league gives teams one 40- minute game every week and all games are played between 7pm and 9pm on Mondays.

There will be two eight-team divisions which will cater for all team standards and the league is FA-affiliated which ensures that qualified referees will officiate in all matches.

At the end of each league cycle trophies are presented to winners and runners-up in all divisions along with ‘golden boots’ for the leading goalscorers.
