IN Division One, United Services Club A were 7-2 winners away to St Bedes A with Neil Whelan 63-36 and a Captain’s knock from Howard Jones 70-46.
Stobart Stadium A also won 7-2 at home to WCC A – Kevin Tiernan 59-43 only outdone by Brian Hough 85-27.
Simms Cross A beat St Josephs A 7-2. There were Strong frames from Peter Henderson 63-21 and Jason Kilshaw 86-30.
Woolton Cons managed a 5-4 victory over Village Galacticos – Stars of the show Tony Cook 85-18 and Dennis Simcock 82-27 taking no prisoners.
In Division Two, Fords B continue their fine season with a 7-2 win at home to Runcorn Con Artists – Jimmy Dunn 76-25 and Mick Carew 64-43 rounding off a good night.
Corporation started off their winning streak with an excellent 6-3 victory away to Village Wildebeests thanks to fantastic winning frames from Tom Cafferty 63-43 and Joe Doyle 77-18.
USC B beat St Bedes B 6-3 – Alan Fox 60-34 and Paul Antrobus 75-36 in a match which seen two blackball respots.
WCC C had a 6-3 win of their own against HGSC. Leon Hosking 75-46 and Mike Sunderland 65-40 were on fire for the ‘Cricketers’.
Farnworth A were 5-4 winners away to Birchfield B with John Pinder 52-36 and John Tollitt 69-40 sharing the spoils.
In Division Three, HRBL again whitewashed the opposition in a 9-0 drubbing of Widnes Cons B – Billy Connolly 78-45 was surpassed by Stu Riding 81-37 (Tony Grant had a 23 break in vain for the Con Club).
Joint leaders Holy Family beat Farnworth Knights 6-3 away from home with Wally Rawlinson 99-16 and Tony Rawlinson 66-43 including a 35 break.
Simms Cross B had a great 6-3 win at home to Prescot Reform A. Mick Hughes 51-27 and Liam Johnson 77-33 with big wins.
Farnworth B also won 6-3 this time away to Birchfield A – Opening pairing of Jamie King 68-45 and Clive Rimmer 74-22 getting them off to a flyer.
Stadium C had their own 6-3 away win at Prescot Reform B thanks to Tom Goulden 80-22 and Kyle O’Neill 66-48 the men of the match.
Widnes Bowling Club managed a 5-4 win at RWMC – Ben Lyon 64-40 and John Tighe 62-57 superb on the night.
Widnes Cricket Club B took a 5-4 win against Village C – Stuart Bargh 62-36 and Joe Parry 75-38 in a close match.
