POLICE in Halton are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Runcorn.
The incident took place on Hankey Street on Friday, January 13, at around 8pm.
The victim – a 19-year-old man – was walking along a side street when he was approached by an unknown man.
He was grabbed from behind and the attacker pulled him to the floor before demanding his phone and money.
The offender then told the victim not to watch as he fled the scene. The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
The offender is described as white, believed to be around 20 years old, around 5ft 9ins tall with dark hair. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing dark trousers and a dark jacket.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 844 of January, 13.
