A FOOTBALL club in Runcorn has bought tracksuits and training wear using a £400 supermarket grant.
Brookvale United Junior Football Club received the cash from The Co-operative’s community fund.
The new gear will be used to keep the players warm during winter training sessions.
Funds for the donation were collected from Co-op customers who opted to give some of the profits from their purchases to the community fund.
The total sum collected is shared among groups across the country such as Bookvale United Junior Football Club.
Natalie Pinnington, Brookvale United Junior Football Club coach, said: “Being part of this team is really important to all the young men involved.
“This generous grant has allowed us to buy a set of new tracksuits that will keep the lads warm and toasty, meaning we don’t have to cut our outdoor training sessions short.”
