St Chad’s 6th form boffins in Runcorn rewarded for Daresbury Laboratory work

BUDDING scientists from a college in Runcorn have been financially rewarded for their voluntary work at Daresbury Laboratory.

For the last two years, a group of four science students from St Chad’s 6th Form College have been taking part in various mentoring projects with entrepreneurs working at the Daresbury Innovation Centre.

The programme ended last week, and A-Level students Rebekah Reece, Tom Waring, Mike Grayson and Scott Gibson were each awarded a certificate and a cheque worth £100 for their hard work.

The programme gave the students an insight into potential career opportunities in some of the countries most successful science businesses and gave them a clearer understanding of their options for the future.
