Archaeology fun day takes place at Norton Priory in Runcorn
BUDDING archaeologists from across Halton Šexplored their creative sideŠat a summer fun-day.
Families and enthusiasts had a go at designing pottery and sketching archaeological plans at an interactive funday at Norton Priory on Monday.
Children also got a chance to piece together aŠlifesize skeleton jigsaw, matching bones up in an enactment of a real excavation.
The event was part ofŠa fortnight ofŠcelebrations marking the Festival of British Archaeology, a yearlyŠeventŠto recognise the country's rich heritage.
The Council of British Archaeology runs the festival and is makingŠ2010, its 20th anniversary, a year to remember with events across the UK.
