LEGENDARY American songwriter Nils Lofgren is playing three North West dates as part of his national tour later this year.
Famed for his appearance on Neil Young’s seminal album After The Goldrush.
He is also well known for his role as a long-time member of Bruce Springsteen’s E-Street Band, where he played alongside some of America’s most well-known artists - notably Sopranos actor Steve Van Zandt.
The guitarist and pianist is also regarded as a superb front-man in his own right.
And the new dates mark Nils’ first UK dates since his last stint with Springsteen’s world tour.
Nils’ 2006 album Sacred Weapon features contributions from legends Willie Nelson, David Crosby and Graham Nash, along with a duet with old Grin band-mate Bob Berberich.Š
Multi-instrumentalist Greg Varlotta will join Nils for an acoustic set.
And fans are being told to expect classic tunes like Take You To The Movies, Back It Up, Keith Don’t Go and many others from his vast back catalogue.
He plays at Birkenhead’s Pacific Road Arts Centre on October 13 and The Lowry in Salford the next day.
He then plays at Preston’s Guildhall on October 22.
Birkenhead tickets are £24.50 and the others are £28.50.
