Acorn launches new driving division based in Preston and Runcorn branches

LEADING recruitment and training agency Acorn has launched a new driving division, based in its Preston and Runcorn branches, which has been developed to serve its clients right across the North West of England.

Newly-appointed recruitment consultant David Meloy, 28, will manage the new North West driving division, supplying experienced workers to driving, transport and logistics companies throughout the region.

David, who has experience as a driving consultant for two national driving specialist recruitment companies, said: “I have a wealth of experience and knowledge of the driving sector, which I’ll use to benefit of all our logistics clients and the people we place with them.

“Acorn has had great success in driving recruitment across its other regions and I look forward to building on this and helping to make Acorn one of the UK’s leading names in driving recruitment.”

Acorn supplies fully reference-checked drivers in LGV class 1 and 2, 7.5-ton drivers, drivers’ mates, car and van drivers covering all types of work.

Established in 1992, it has 35 branches across the UK and finds jobs for approximately 6,000 people every week into some 850 different clients.
