RUNCORN churches and schools have teamed up to send boxes of Christmas goodies to deprived children in eastern Europe.
St Michael’s, All Saints Holy Trinity and Brook Chapel churches collected toys, toiletries and other gifts as did Westfield Nursery, Weston Point Primary School, and Victoria Road Primary School.
The 320 shoe boxes were counted up on Wednesday, November 18, and will be sent to Belarus and Romania as part of an Operation Christmas Child campaign by Samaritan’s Purse - a charity that works in 18 countries across Africa, eastern Europe, and central Asia.
