Paul Wright from Halton Borough Council and David Dunn from Sellafield Ltd handed North West Chartered Manager of the Year awards

TWO Halton managers have been handed specialist industry awards.

Paul Wright, landscape services divisional manager at Halton Borough Council, and David Dunn, senior business improvement manager at Sellafield Ltd’s central improvement team, have both been awarded the title of the North West’s Chartered Manager of the Year.

Organisers said the joint award was testament to their ‘exceptional leadership and management credentials’.

The gong was presented at the Chartered Management Institute's North West Regional Conference at the JJB Stadium in Wigan.

Huw Hilditch-Roberts, deputy director of membership development at the Chartered Management Institute, said: “Chartered managers like Paul and David, who demonstrate positive impact and can drive performance, are vital to organisations if they are to remain competitive and profitable in challenging financial times.”

Mr Dunn said: “I think my award is a great achievement.

“I was delighted to be nominated, but to win is fantastic.

Mr Wright added: “Through the process of chartered manager I have realised both the importance and benefits of self development.”

The names of all the winners from around the country will be put forward for the title of National Chartered Manager of the Year at the national conference on October 15.
