A BRIDGE scheme protest group has adopted ‘Road to Ruin’ as its name.
The group is campaigning for extra traffic resulting from the Mersey Gateway project to be diverted away from the Central Expressway, thus avoiding the residential areas along the road’s edge.
Road to Ruin uses a website site to publicise group meetings and discuss matters relating to the Mersey Gateway’s impact on neighbourhoods along the Central Expressway, Runcorn.
The site has amassed more than 2,700 hits since going online.
Road to Ruin met yesterday at Brook Chapel, Boston Avenue.
