Branch of the year award for opticians

A WIDNES opticians has been crowned branch of the year by its company.
The Scrivens Group said staff at the Albert Square branch scooped the award for their strong performance during 2008 and commitment to outstanding customer service.
The team received an engraved trophy at the firm’s annual conference and vouchers for a celebratory meal.
Marie Farrell, Scrivens Widnes branch manager, said: “It was a real surprise to receive the award and everyone here is extremely proud.
“Our aim is to provide customers with friendly and professional service at all times, as well as a broad range of products to choose from, and it is encouraging to know these objectives are being fulfilled.”
