Battle to beat the bullies
A RUNCORN school has held an Anti-Bullying Week.
St Chad’s High pupils held daily assemblies about bullying, a cake sale, raffles, with a blue balloon release capping the week’s activities on ‘Blue Friday’.
They also had poster and poetry competitions with prizes and certificates. A bench was also unveiled for pupils use to talk about their problems.
Teachers focused many of the week’s lessons on the theme “being different, belonging together” and on the impact of bullying.
Talks used examples from popular culture such as football and music to show how people from different countries can live and work together.
