Fire crews to hold charity car wash

FIREFIGHTERS will be out with their buckets and sponges this weekend for a charity car wash.

The event will be held at the Argos contact centre at Royal Avenue, Widnes, on Saturday, October 11, 10am-4pm and will involve crews and cadets washing cars to raise much-needed cash for the Firefighters’ Charity.

It is the latest in a line of events which have so far raised 6,000 throughout Cheshire

Sean Henshaw, temporary group manager for Halton, said: “I really hope that drivers will go along and support our staff at this event.”
