AN INDEPENDENT Runcorn fashion designer has expanded her innovative clothing venture.
Natalie Beard, who owns Love Frocks, has seen her company move from her home, then to a design studio, and now to her own unit at the Heath Business and Technical Park.
After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University in 2006 with a degree in fashion design, Natalie required a professional space for clients to visit to discuss ideas and fittings.
Since moving to the new site her business has boomed, with clients travelling from Liverpool and across Cheshire to size up her original garments.
She said: “I jumped at the chance to move to the shop unit as the public can pop in and have a look rather than booking an appointment to see me.
“It is hard work and a daunting thought but staff at The Heath have made the move so much easier.
“My newŠshop is more of a drop-in studio rather than a conventional shop as I more often take orders as all my garments are made to measure.”
Recently featured in the New Designers Show at Liverpool Fashion Week, Natalie wowed crowds with her Spring-Summer 2009 collection.
She added: “It was my first show under the name Love Frocks so I was really looking forward to it.
“It is nice to see my collection on real girls and hearing all the comments from the show just gave me a boost.”
